Planning and design for a couple of hitchhikers and their two young children.

In the old apartment with two levels, renovations and construction additions were made over the years, which created an unconventional room division and a mix of design styles.

On the first floor were the children's bedrooms and they shared one bathroom. The kitchen was small and crowded with no space for a dining area. Therefore, it found its place on a different level...

On the second floor were the master suite, living room and dining area.

The existing situation of a children's bedrooms on one floor and a master bedroom on another and a small kitchen without a dining area - of course not suitable for a couple with two young children - so we made significant planning changes.

In the new design >

The parents and their children sleep on the same floor. And instead of everyone sharing a single bathroom, there is a private bathroom for parents and an additional bathroom for children (with bathtub and sink cabinet), and additional toilets on the floor.

We also planned a restyling family cabinet used for storage,  seating, a play area and even a solution for a light breakfast and coffee before heading out in the morning for kindergarten and office.

The living room, kitchen and dining area are now on the same floor, adjacent to each other and sized for a young family.
